Are you buying a “dream house” or a drama? Only time (or an All-in-One Inspection) will tell.
An All-in-One Building & Pest Inspection is the smartest (and most popular) choice for intending home buyers and investors.
While you’re likely to spot a few surface problems yourself, the most major flaws won’t be obvious during open inspections and walk-throughs. This option provides comprehensive insights into a building’s flaws and faults (the ones you can see, and the ones you can’t). These can include structural, electrical, plumbing, infestation, safety problems and more – problems that can cost tens of thousands of dollars to repair if left undetected and unresolved.
What’s the process?
1. Get a Quick Quote
Request a Quick Quote using the form to the right. Peter Beggs will then give you a quick call to ask you a couple of preliminary questions, and give you an on-the-spot quote.
2. We Schedule a Time
Once you give us the go-ahead, we’ll liaise with the Real Estate Agent to schedule a suitable time for the Inspection.
3. Peter does the Inspection
Peter will arrive on site and conduct a thorough Building & Pest Inspection. This takes 2 hours. During this time, every internal and external area of the home is inspected. This includes:
- Sub-floor – Foundations & Footings
- Masonry
- Plumbing & Drainage
- Bathrooms, Kitchens & Laundry
- Windows, Doors & Joinery
- Internal & External Walls & Floors (for cracking, rising damp, tree root damage etc)
- Ventilation
- Roof Framing & Cladding, Guttering & Downpipes
- Fascias & Barge-Boards
- Verandahs & Decks
- Driveways, Paving, Paths, Fencing (including Pool Fencing) & Retaining Walls
- Signs of decay and deterioration, inside and outside
- Signs of pest infestation (including termite damage)
4. Reports Get Emailed or Posted to You
Once the inspection is complete we’ll prepare a set of comprehensive, yet easy-to-follow reports, using innovative 3D software. We then promptly email or post the inspection reports to you. If any clarifications are required, Peter will be available to discuss the findings over the phone. If any major work is required, we can recommend local, trustworthy tradespeople to quote on the project for you.
5. Confirm or retract your offer
Once you’ve read through the report, you can decide to retract your offer, renegotiate the price based on the findings of the Building Inspection, or proceed with the purchase as is, with peace of mind that you’re making a sound investment.
No matter your final decision, a pre-purchase, All-in-one Building & Pest Inspection ensures you always come out winning.
